We always heard people say Period 8 Feng Shui, so what is Period 8 means?

Currently from the year 2004 to 2023, Period 8 Feng Shui controls a certain form of patterns and directions as a general guidelines

Under the San Yuan theory known as the Three periods and Nine ages (三元九运) . Time dimensions is divided into three periods known as the Upper (上三元) , Middle (中三元) and Lower (下三元) period. Each period controls 60 years to form a full cycle consists of a total of 180 years.

These 60 years are further divided into 3 ages of 20 years each with a ruling numbers order from 1 to 9. When period 9 is over by the year 2043, a new cycle will take place and repeats the sequence from period 1 again.

The current reigning number is 8, which said to be auspicious and considered to bring good luck and fortune if one associates with it.

1 Cycle = 180 Years

Upper Period (60 years each)

1 = 1864 to 1883
2 = 1884 to 1903
3 = 1904 to 1923

Middle Period (60 years each)

4 = 1924 to 1943
5 = 1944 to 1963
6 = 1964 to 1983

Lower Period (60 years each)

7 = 1984 to 2003
8 = 2004 to 2023
9 = 2024 to 2043
